Roanoke (Va.) Regional Airport Commission requests proposals from airport engineering firms for preliminary design, design, bid, construction administration, inspection, testing and related professional services necessary to the add modified beds of Engineering Material Arresting Systems at each end of Runway 6-24 at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. This is to include, at a minimum, preliminary design services, and if it appears that the project meets the FAA’s cost benefit requirements, it is expected to include all professional engineering and testing services. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority invites combined statements of qualifications and detailed proposals until 4:30 p.m. May 21, 2014, from qualified firms for Project No. E14-07, RFQ/RFP Taxiway B Reconstruction Design and Construction Administration Services to provide detailed design and construction administration services for the reconstruction of Taxiway B and shoulder pavement in adjacent areas at Bob Hope Airport. Subject to requirements of the FAA Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Program. The authority is currently prohibited from using DBE and/or small business participation as a selection criteria, however DBEs and small businesses are strongly encouraged to participate. The La Crosse Regional Airport (Wis.) is seeking bids and statements of qualifications to update the airport’s minimum standards document and implement a rules and regulations document. The original minimum standards document originated in 1983 and the successful bidder will update it to meet with current industry standards. Bids and responses will be accepted until 2 p.m. May 12, 2014. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena (Calif.) Airport Authority will receive sealed bids from qualified "B" licensed general building contractors on Project E14-04, Module 13.2 until 2:05 p.m., May 29, 2014. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of new doors, new windows, air conditioning, insulation and correction of some code deficiencies for 21 single family homes and nine condominium residences. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is requesting competitive proposals from qualified firms to establish a contract for the installation of infrastructure and new access control and alarm monitoring systems (ACAMS) readers at six terminals for 78 baggage handling system (BHS) portals at Los Angeles International Airport. LAWA will provide the signed and sealed construction drawings developed for the installation of the proposed new infrastructure and system equipment. The drawings will detail the installation of the required baggage portal security systems. The selected proposer will be required to perform a thorough site investigation and assessment to validate all information, devices and installation components shown on the drawings for each BHS portal. As part of the project, additional ACAMS controller hardware, electrical interfaces (inclusive of baggage door control interface equipment), IT infrastructure and wiring will be installed. The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority has issued a solicitation to to select a design builder to design, procure and install a parking access and revenue control system (PARCS) at Tampa International (RFQ No. 14-411-020, Authority Project No. 6155 14). The PARCS project will be based on review and validation of the PARCS business strategy development study provided by the authority as an exhibit to the RFQ. The selected respondent will develop the 15 percent conceptual design and 30 percent schematic design documents that will include demolition plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, narrative description of the proposed PARCS, outline specifications, updated schedule, budget, and construction phasing plans. These documents will be the basis for preparing design development and construction documents.
