TSA announced that Jane Hemberger has been named federal security director (FSD) at Dane County (Wis.) Regional Airport. Hemberger has served as the acting federal security director (FSD) at the airport since May 2005.
Before serving as the acting FSD, she was the assistant federal security director for Regulatory Compliance. Before joining the agency, she worked for FAA in Minneapolis. Just prior to the formation of TSA, Hemberger served as the FAA's interim federal security representative in Madison and was instrumental in establishing all TSA operational and support infrastructure during the federalization of security screening.
Separately, TSA also announced that Rick Gordon has been named FSD at Cherry Capital Airport. Gordon will oversee all TSA security operations at Cherry Capital and its spoke airports in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Gordon served as western area staff operations officer assisting the TSA Office of Security Operations and the western area director since July 2006. Prior to that, Gordon provided oversight for all TSA spoke airport security operations in Idaho as the deputy FSD at Pocatello Regional Airport. He also has served TSA as acting FSD for Idaho Falls from April 2003 to July 2005.
