Denver International Receives TSA Partnership Awards

top story photo Denver International Airport's (DIA) management team has received the TSA Partnership Award. The award recognizes TSA's industry partners whose accomplishments and excellence in performance benefit the interests of the U.S. and clearly advance the mission of TSA. Airport officials noted that DIA was the only major airport in the country whose management team received a Partnership Award.

"This is a nice honor for us, but the traveling public is the ultimate beneficiary when DIA and TSA work together," said Turner West, manager of aviation at DIA. "We have found that by sharing information and working on strategies together, we can ensure that passengers move safely and efficiently through our airport."

"DIA is a constant leader and a great partner in the effort to provide a totally secure environment for each one of the travelers who will use the airport this year," said Patrick Ahlstrom, federal security director in Denver for TSA. "The DIA staff always works closely with TSA to achieve the highest security in conjunction with the best possible efficiency and customer service. It is a pleasure to work with people who want to be the best in the world."
