The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) said it has approved three commercial real estate developments on Orlando Executive Airport property.
The first project is a new Microtel to be operated by Wyndham hotels. The new 74-room hotel will be built on 1.78 acres of land next to Sheltair Orlando Jet Center. Holland Hospitality, a division of the Holland Sheltair Aviation Group, will develop the property. The three story hotel will cost approximately $4 million to complete. Ground rent to Orlando Executive Airport will amount to $330,585 over the first five years of the lease agreement, GOAA said in a statement.
The second project is the development of a new Gordon Food Service (GFS) Marketplace Food Store. The GFS store will be built on 2.12 acres of commercial property. The building will hold approximately 16,045 square feet of shopping retail space when complete. Ground rent for the GFS store will be $554,085 for the first five years of the lease agreement.
The third major project coming to Orlando Executive Airport is a new Wawa Food Market and gas station. The new Wawa convenience store facility will be located on a 2.14 acre parcel of land. When completed, this facility will be approximately 55 hundred square feet. The ground rent for the Wawa facility will be $605,920 over the first five years of the agreement.
"These three substantial investments into Orlando Executive Airport will act as a catalyst to help stimulate more economic growth and encourage others to take a second look at Orlando Executive and the surrounding area for future opportunities," says Phil Brown, executive director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
