Emirates To Add U.S.-Dubai Service

top story photo Emirates announced new serve between two U.S. cities beginning in spring 2012. The carrier will begin daily nonstop service between Seattle-Tacoma International and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on March 1, 2012. The flights will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) will gain nonstop daily service to Dubai International starting Feb. 2, 2012. Emirates will serve the route with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.

DFW Airport officials said the Emirates daily service is expected to produce $227 million in economic impact every year to the Dallas/Fort Worth region in terms of additional visitors, business ties and investments.

In related news, Emirates will open a new customer lounge at San Francisco International in November. The new lounge will be a two-level facility for first and business class passengers comprised of more than 9,500 square feet.
