Airport customer service professionals and volunteer coordinators came together in Atlanta, Ga., last month for AAAE's 10th Annual Airport Customer Service/Volunteer Ambassador Conference.
The meeting, sponsored by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, was highlighted by a demonstration of the host airport's new virtual customer service program, which is now in its pilot phase. Other business sessions focused on volunteer programs at Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Fort Lauderdale International and Norfolk International airports. Jeff Coward, ambassador program coordinator at Dallas-Fort Worth International, gave details of the airport's new certified tourism ambassador program.
AAAE expresses appreciation to the Atlanta International staff, especially Customer Service Administrator Jan Lister and Senior Customer Service Manager Karen Ellis, for their work and financial support of this conference, and also to Interactive Dynamic Solutions for sponsoring the Oct. 19 lunch.
