AAAE and FAA held the 16th Annual Airfield Safety, Sign Systems and Management Workshop April 19-21 in Kansas City, Mo. The meeting featured sessions on the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport runway rehab project, airport pavement maintenance and management, common problems with airfield marking and signage, inspecting and maintaining airfield lighting, removal and detection of FOD, marking matters, wildlife hazards at airports, preventing V/PDs and runway incursions, solution for airfield operations/maintenance and technology as it relates to the airfield.
